|Accession forms||Forms signed by all project beneficiaries once the grant agreement has been signed between the project coordinator and the EC.
The accession forms are available on the Participant Portal and must be signed up to 30 days after the grant agreement takes effect. In signing the accession forms, beneficiaries accept the rights and obligations set out in the grant agreement.
|Actual costs||Costs which are real and not estimated or budgeted.|
|Administrative forms||Administrative forms or Part A of the proposal, need to be filled out on the Participant Portal (Step 5 of the Submission wizard) before the submission of a project proposal. They consist of:
|Annex 1||Otherwise known as the Technical Annex or Description of the Action and forms "Part B" of the proposal, this document outlines the technical content of the project.|
|Applicant||The term used generally for a person or entity applying to a call for proposals. The term ‘participant’ is used for a member of a proposal or project consortium.|
|Associated countries||Associated countries participate in Horizon 2020 under the same conditions as EU Member States. There are, as of 1 January 2017, 16 countries associated to Horizon 2020: Iceland, Norway, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey, Israel, Moldova, Switzerland, Faroe Islands, Ukraine, Tunisia, Georgia, Armenia.

|Associated partner||Associated partners in projects do not receive funding directly from the European Union. They are linked to a full partner and typically invoice the full partner for their costs although it is highly recommended that these costs are agreed in advance and are subject to the consortium agreement.|
